Contributing to the education of students by providing equine assisted learning activities
Rocking U Ranch Inc. is a non-riding equine assisted learning facility located in Priceville, Alabama.
We currently offer Horse Powered Reading® (HPR) and Horse Powered Math (HPM) programs for students through private, individual sessions or school groups.
We offer personalized assessments and tutoring to teach reading strategies that build decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. HPR/HPM programs help students foster skills in problem solving, team building, and overall school success.

We understand that having a struggling student can be challenging. Rocking U Ranch has a team of specialized instructors to tailor sessions around your child’s individual needs.
Partnering with us in your child’s educational journey provides your child with the opportunity to learn in a new and exciting environment. This type of extracurricular instruction will help focus your child’s energy and attention toward academic learning.
Individual Sessions
Small Group Sessions: 2-10 people
Large Group Sessions: 11+ people
Why Horses?
Including horses in a learning setting transforms the lesson into a whole body experience. Experiential learning is a powerful way to achieve educational goals.
Working with horses fosters the development of self-motivation, confidence, and independent problem solving.
The way horses sense, think, and behave can help humans better understand how we sense, think, and behave.
With their sensitivity to unspoken cues and immediate feedback, horses help students identify and overcome emotional and academic obstacles.
