After graduating with a B.S. in Education of the Hearing Impaired from the University of Montevallo, Brodie worked with deaf students, gifted students and students with emotional/behavioral issues. She also worked as a trail guide, riding instructor and horse trainer. Brodie has worked with equine assisted therapy programs in the past and recently completed the Horse Powered Reading course.
